Career Counseling

Resources
Our most commonly used assessments include the Career Assessment Inventory (CAI) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Internet resources include the Oregon Career Information System (CIS) and the Oregon Labor Market Information System (OLMIS).
Resume Assistance
We’ll help polish your resume to give you the winning edge in gaining an interview. Each resume should be unique and specific to your potential employer.
Job Search Correspondence
Put your best foot forward with that eye catching cover letter or make an impressive closing with a follow-up letter to your interview. If you still need to ask for a letter of recommendation, our staff can tell you what you should provide to your former employer or instructor.
Interviewing Resources
Interviewing is perhaps one of the most intimidating aspects of the job search process. The good news is that interviewing is a skill to be learned, not an innate ability that we are or are not born with. Because interviewing involves learning and applying different techniques and strategies, there is much you can do to prepare for your next interview.
HD 208: Career & Life Planning Class
Career Planning is designed to help students make occupational decisions based on self-evaluation and on information and analysis of current career information. Career planning is an on-going dynamic process not a one-time decision. This class will focus on the development of a "Life Plan," an integration of information about you and your life goals, and which careers are suitable for this plan.
