Responsible for preparing and serving daily breakfast bar, greeting each guest and ensuring the guests’ are comfortable and overall satisfied. Maintaining a clean breakfast area and back of the house, keeping with the standards of IHG.
Support guest service as the main focus of the hotel.
Greet guest with proper greeting and maintain a hospitable, friendly demeanor.
Communicates special requests made by guests.
Actively participates in Guest Service Initiatives.
Familiar with local area and attractions.
Providing personalized service to all guests.
Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards.
Taking inventory and restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
Report any need to Hotel Manager for ordering or purchasing food supplies.
Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices from concentrates.
Stocking coffee, juice and milk machines or dispensers.
Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products
Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
Preparing and setting up hot food items then returning reusable food supplies to storage.
Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand.
Wiping up spills in correlation with proper procedures.
Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
Keeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors.
Listening and responding to guests’ requests and complaints.
Assist in any janitorial or housekeeping needs.
Provides constructive input to improve processes within the department.
Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
1 year experience in a hotel/motel environment strongly preferred.
18 years of age or older.
Ability to work without a lot of supervision.
Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Card required.
Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
