Winchester— Umpqua Community College’s Community Education department is offering a class, “Genealogy III: Research and Computer Lab,” Tuesdays, September 30 to November 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Workforce Training Center, Room 15, 2555 N.E. Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. Cost is $43. To register, call 440-7744 and ask for course 25138.

People around the world are catching the genealogy bug, but need assistance brainstorming their past. Experienced instructor, Carolyn Arnett, will help us learn what records are available, how to access available resources and search the Internet.

Prerequisite: must have previously taken Genealogy I and II or other genealogy course. For text arrangements and class information, call the instructor at 679-6690. Class is limited, so please register early. No new students will be accepted after the first class session. No class on November 11.
