Prepare for Pharmacy Technician Certification exam

Roseburg— Enroll in the Umpqua Community College Community Education class “Pharmacy Technician Exam Prep.” The class will be on Tuesdays, March 11 to April 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., on the UCC campus, Wayne Crooch Hall, room 16. Tuition is $3, fee $186. Call 440-7744 to register and request course number 42913.

This 12-hour course is for working Pharmacy Technicians who wish to take one of the two Pharmacy Technician Certification exam in order to meet the new state certification requirement. All Pharmacy Techs in Oregon must pass a national certification exam by October 2008. Course fee includes a workbook and study materials. Focus on the most challenging topics for Pharmacy Technicians, including pharmacy math, hospital pharmacy and pharmaceuticals. This is not a comprehensive course for those wishing to enter the profession. No Class 3/25.
