The LIFE Foundation sponsors the annual LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program for college students and college-bound high school seniors who have suffered the death of a parent or guardian. Irene Murphy Scholarship

Offered by Cascade Community Credit Union to assist members with their educational expenses, graduating high school applicants must have accumulated a grade point average of 2.5 or higher to qualify. College applicants must have accumulated and maintain a grade point average of 3.25 or higher to qualify. An official college transcript verifying GPA must be provided before payments will be made the 2nd – 4th years.

Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program
Award: $2,000 and a customized Westward Toolkit upon graduation
Deadline: March 17, 2014 at 3:00pm
The Grainger Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program helps students across the country who are interested in careers in the skilled trades and public safety realize their educational goals. Applicants must be entering their final year of skilled trades or public safety studies at Umpqua Community College in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Qualifying Skilled Trades:
- electronic systems
- heating / air conditioning
- facilities maintenance
- other industrial trade
Qualifying Public Safety Programs:
- first responder
- law enforcement
- prison guard
- fire safety
- emergency medical technician
- emergency management
- disaster preparedness programs
One half of the scholarships are earmarked for students who have honorably separated from the US Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy). Students must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits) each term and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

CU Chapter PEO Scholarship
Deadline: March 27th, 2014 at 4:00pm
- Students must be female
- Students must have a cumulative 3.25 GPA
- Students must be starting their second year in fall 2014
- Complete the UCC Scholarship Application 2014-15
- Submit two UCC Scholarship Recommendation Forms
- Submit an official copy of your transcripts
- Submit a copy of your FAFSA confirmation letter showing your expected family contribution or EFC

Oregon PTA’s Teacher Education Scholarship
Deadline: Mar. 30, 2013
Each year Oregon PTA awards a limited number of tuition scholarships to high school seniors or college students who are Oregon residents and who want to teach in Oregon at an elementary or secondary school. The scholarship may be used at any Oregon public college or university that trains teachers or that transfers credits in education. The scholarship is a non-renewable $500 merit award, however, winners may re-apply the next year.

Roseburg Rotary Club Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 to $1,500
Deadline: April 3, 2014
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Colleges or universities other than UCC
- must have at least a 3.5 GPA UCC (as a Freshman)
- must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Second year at UCC
- must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- be enrolled full-time
- have completed 36 college credits
- have a second year standing
Scholarship that are awarded based upon “Need” are for all applicants that feel they have a valid “Need” basis. Applicants must list the reason for the “Need” in the About You section of the application. NO GPA IS REQUIRED FOR NEED.

Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to worthy female students who have completed at least two years of satisfactory college work and are residents of Oregon. Students enrolled in Graduate Programs of Study are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be recommended by at least two (2) administrators or professors familiar with her: Dean of School, Professor of student’s major department, Dean of Women, and in the case of transfer for graduate studies, student’s advisor recommendation from the last institution attended.
