UCC to host volleyball summer camps for grades 6-12

Winchester -- Two summer volleyball camps have been planned for boys and girls grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Hosted by Umpqua Community College and taught by Mary Morris, the camps will cover jumping, setting, spiking, serving and serve receiving. New techniques and strategies for team play will also be introduced as well as mental training and nutritional fitness.
A camp for grades 6-8 will be June 22-25, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The camp for boys and girls grades 9-12 will be held June 22-25, from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $100 per camper with team discounts available.
Two additional summer volleyball camps have been planned for boys and girls grades 6-12. Hosted by Umpqua Community College and taught by Mary Morris, the camps will cover all aspects of the game at an accelerated pace. A camp for grades 6-8 will be Tuesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp for boys and girls grades 9-12 will be held Wednesday, July 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $50 per camper.
