Winchester -- The Umpqua Community College Hall of Fame Committee is accepting nominations for inductees to the “Spirit of Umpqua.”
The College considers nominations once every five years.
This is our way of honoring people who have given exceptional service to the college in terms of volunteer, leadership, financial support and other ways. Nomination forms are available at the UCC administration building and must be completed and returned to the UCC president’s office no later than May 15, 2009.
Criteria for selection:
- Exceptional service, financial and/or in-kind, over and above normal requirements or responsibilities
- A minimum of 10 years service
- At or near retirement
Nominations will be given to a selection committee who will screen and make recommendations to the Umpqua Community College Board of Directors.
“Spirit of Umpqua” honorees will have a plaque commemorating their service placed in a section of the lobby of Jacoby Auditorium. Each plaque shall contain name, job title, years of service at UCC and a picture of the honoree.
The announcement of inductees will be determined following selection.
