Cheerleaders hold cheer clinic for ages 12-17 at UCC

Umpqua Community College is hosting a cheerleading tryout prep clinic for students ages 12-17. The clinic will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the weight room of the physical education complex (by the UCC pool). The cost is $20.

During the clinic, UCC’s Riverhawks cheerleaders will teach basic cheerleading skills to prepare students for their high school tryouts. Students will work on dancing, cheering, motions, jumps and tumbling. They will also be given an overall tryout crash course on how to enter tryouts, spirit, and what to expect with judging.
