“Judge Dunson’s Secret” to be performed at UCC

Winchester— Centerstage at Umpqua Community College presents “Judge Dunson’s Secret,” the premiere performance of an exciting new musical in honor of Oregon’s 150th birthday. Evening performances will be on March 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be March 15 and 22 at 2 p.m. All tickets are $10.

A man of high office and social standing involved in a personal scandal? It’s nothing new. The year is 1883 and women are about to change the social and political landscape of Portland, Oregon. This is an original script by John Granholm with the music and lyrics by Jason Heald, both instructors at UCC. The musical is adapted from a novel of the same title by Oregon author and equal rights advocate Abigail Scott Duniway.
