I have many years of experience working with the elderly as a medication aide. It is here that I found my true passion for the field of Pharmacy and its importance in long-term care. I plan to obtain my AAOT at UCC in June 2015. I will then transfer to OSU for a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Pharmacy. Upon graduation, I will continue on in the Pharmacy-D Program at OSU as well. I am also actively involved in the recovery community of Douglas County. I have found a fellowship of people that truly understand where I’ve been and the life I once lived. I find great joy in sharing my experience, strength and hope to help other alcoholics and addicts to recover. I foresee my academic career involving countless challenges along this demanding journey. With the strength and courage I’ve gained in overcoming my struggles with addiction, I know that I can and will do anything I set my mind to!
The entire ASUCC Leadership Team is especially driven to make positive change on this campus. I encourage anyone that is interested in being part of making a difference to come and join our team. Please come by to say hello in our new ASUCC space adjacent to the cafeteria in the Student Center. It’s going to be a fun-packed 2014-15 school year. I look forward to seeing you all on and around campus.
