Establish Eligibility

If you are attending GED or high school equivalency courses you must attend class 18 hours or more per week to be considered full-time. Veterans and other military personnel need to check the procedure for acceptance of military credits.

All applicants must complete the Veteran's General Information form. Use this link to download the form in *PDF format. Please return the completed form to the Veteran's Office.

Assistance is available through the Veterans Office to fill out the necessary paperwork to establish eligibility for educational benefits. Documents must be provided which verify prior education and military service, or benefits will be delayed. Eligibility for benefits and monthly payments is done through the VA Educational Office.

You can establish eligibility with the VA for full-time benefits by taking 12 or more credits, three-quarter time benefits with 9 to 11 credits and half-time benefits with 6 to 8 credits. Tuition only benefits are available to students taking less than half-time.
