Hosted Online Courses Getting Started Instructions
Step 1: Order Textbooks!
Chemeketa Bookstore: 503-399-5131
You must refer to the provider college bookstore for textbook information. If you obtain the ISBN number for the book(s), the UCC bookstore can assist you with ordering the book(s) using financial aid or scholarships. It is your choice whether you purchase through the bookstore or by any other means. It is important to order your textbooks early to allow for shipping time.
Starting online classes without books puts you at a huge disadvantage!
Step 2: Log into class!

Follow the steps below to log in to your classroom:
1. If you are new to online courses click on “Getting Ready”.
2. Return to the home page. Click on the green button “Chemeketa and Host College Students”
3. Follow the directions given below for your WebCT Username and Password.
USERNAME = firstandlastname (one word all lowercase letters) example - janedoe
Password = initials+last4 (last four digits of your UCC student ID number) example - jd1234
4. Read through the syllabus and links on your instructor's Web page to find out how to get started.

Southwestern Oregon Community College will email your username and password.
Step 3: Begin class on June 20, 2011! Please be aware that your instructor can drop you from your class if you do not sign in during the first week of classes. If you are unable to log into class, please contact Michelle Bergmann at 440-7763 for assistance.
Step 4: Participate regularly in your class! Signing in on a regular basis will help to ensure your success in your online course.
