New Student Orientation
Effective the 2012-2013 academic year, ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session that includes accessing Riverhawk Web.
NSO must be completed prior to spring term 2013 registration in order for you to register for spring term 2013 classes.

How long does New Student Orientation last?

New Student Orientation will be held in the Advising & Career Services Center in Campus Center. Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
How long does New Student Orientation last?
Approximately four hours.
Do I have to stay the entire time?
Yes. New Student Orientation is MANDATORY. It is important that you participate in all the New Student Orientation activities as the program has been designed to help prepare you for your first term as a student.
What can I expect to learn at New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation includes STUDENT 101 - Campus Resources, Academic Success and Funding Your Future and ADVISING & REGISTRATION - Riverhawk Web, Review Placement Test Scores, Course Selection, and Registration.
If you have not previously picked up a student parking permit, you can park in the white lined parking spaces.
Will food or drink be provided?
During regular hours of operation for the college, the Cafeteria and Bookstore will be open for purchases.

Is New Student Orientation mandatory?
Yes. In order to register for credit classes, you must attend a New Student Orientation session. There are some exceptions and you can contact 541-440-4610 to inquire further.
