What is ANGEL Online Learning Management System?

ANGEL is the online course management software that UCC uses for most of its online and online supplemented courses (also known as web enhanced courses). There are other distance education courses that use other online course management systems and also have varying requirements including face to face meetings, so it is important to make sure which system you are registered for. Information about class schedules can be found on the UCC website or by contacting Registration at 541-440-4604.

 

Is there an orientation for ANGEL?

Each term there is an orientation for ANGEL online courses.

 

What if I cannot make it to an ANGEL orientation?

If you are unable to attend the orientation, you can watch tutorials that will assist you in using ANGEL.

 

Where can I access my course?

All ANGEL Online courses can be accessed directly at http://angel.umpqua.edu.

 

Where do I get my ANGEL login and password?

Each student is assigned a Student ID and Pin/Password for upon admission to UCC. You will use this same Student ID (starts with 800xxxxxxx) and Pin/Password for your secure login to ANGEL. This was supplied to you when you registered with UCC. If you are unable to locate this information, please contact the Help Desk by email or by calling 541-440-7808 during regular business hours.

What if my access to ANGEL is denied?

It can take up to 1 hour after you reset your password for the change to take effect in ANGEL. If your ANGEL access is denied, please contact the Help Desk by email or by calling 541-440-7808 during regular business hours.

 

How do I find my classes with ANGEL once I am logged into ANGEL?

Once you are logged into ANGEL, you will find a list of the courses you are registered for under Courses on the first day of term. Your courses do not show up until the first day of the term. Do not be concerned if you do not see any courses before the first day of the term. If the course does not show up on the first day of the term, you can contact the Help Desk by email or by calling 541-440-7808 during regular business hours for assistance.

REMEMBER the courses are open the first day of the term!

 

When do online classes begin?

ANGEL online courses begin the same day that regularly scheduled face-to-face courses do each term. It is important that you log into your online course at the beginning of the first week of the term.

What happens if I don’t login the first week to my online course?

Online Instructors are required to drop any student who has not attended a course by Friday of the first week of the term. Attendance in an online course is determined by logging in and participating in activities in the course as required by your instructor. Be sure to participate the first week.

 

What if I need help?

If you are having difficulty logging in with your ANGEL your login ID and Password, you can contact the Help Desk by email or by calling 541-440-7808 during regular business hours. If you're having difficulties with the course content, you will need to contact the Instructor assigned to your course. Where do I get my course books?

You will need to contact the UCC bookstore for your required textbook and materials for each course, which can be easily accessed by using the Quick Links at the top  of any page on the UCC webiste (click on Bookstore).
